Doe Maar - Doe De Dub

1982 dub album from Dutch reggae and ska band.
Doe Maar was as popular in Holland as The Beatles were earlier in England, and eventually they quit in 1984 because of all the hysteria around them. Doe De Dub has laid-back dreamy dub versions of their former album Doris day & Andere Stukken.
Doe Maar was a Dutch reggae band with ska and punk influences. Their career ran from 1978 to 1984 and they were one of the most successful pop bands in Dutch history. Doe Maar sang in Dutch and were therefore only popular in Dutch-speaking countries (the Netherlands, Belgium and the Netherlands Antilles). Doe Maar translates as Go Ahead, a phrase mostly used in a deprecatory, sulky manner
