Disco 6 is a fantastic and rare compilation album from the Charmers label! Some songs on it you may have heard before. Here they are in other versions complete with dubs in disco showcase style. The singers are in topform and the mixing and production is superb.
A delight to hear and so highly recommended!

The Mighty Rudo and King Kong tracks don't really fit in this otherwise massive seventies roots/dub collection.

Horns : Bobby Ellis & Tommy McCook & Deadly Headly
Studios : Channel One & King Tubby's & Randy's
Compilation of tracks from the underrated Black & White label. The label was owned by Carlton Patterson, who produced all of the records, and they were mixed by King Tubby, although occassionally Errol Thompson, Mikey Dread, Philip Smart and Scientist lent a hand too. Sly & Robbie usually provided the rhythms - needless to say, this is top quality reggae music!
Two tracks I like the most are: Push Lady Push, in which Ringo explains his first memories when he was still in his mothers belly,
and the beautiful modest "Tell Them" by Eek A Mouse, in which he singjays about his sufferations in the ghetto when he was a child.
